They've already diluted shares since the January runup

If the CEO is really playing for a squeeze they might gamma off the strength of the people's will alone. Most people who believe in AMC will hold for reopening and its the #1 most held stock by retail investors (if not #2 to gme) Shorting it to win the 2-5$ bets will manifest a squeeze that wasnt even supposed to be there.

IDK it's just a guess seeing a ton of chatter on reddit circles and TDA smart score is at a 9....out of ten... that's pretty damned good... also since its a weed stock and starting price is at .50 what do you have to lose right now...

I also want to say every stock is a gamble nothing is always a sure shot... but better to dive in than to wake up and regret you missed the boat...
