The book is always better than the movie?

Eragon. I could have made a better movie

I was so upset at what they did with Ender's Game. They completely gutted that.

Eragon isn't a good book, so it turned out just like it should have.

Ender's Game was to be expected tbh. The pacing of the book just couldn't fit in a 2 hour movie. It would work as a series (somebody email netflix)

Also, Fight Club was better as a movie. But yes the book is almost always better, because it can expand on ideas/characters more thoroughly.

Folks have told me the "Lord of the Rings" movies are better than the books.

They are, I like the books but goddamn can they be a chore.

I like The Princess Bride movie more than the book, but that might be because i watched it before i even knew it based on a book and it's also a really faithful adaption.

Not a movie, but the first 3 Dexter books sucked compared to the show... at least the first 4 seasons, anyway.

my dad always wanted me to read LOTR when i was a kid, i never got around to reading it all and i think it's because of that reason. 99% of the time i would say the book is probably better than the movie.

James Herbert's "Haunted" was a better book than the 90s movie.

I never cared for the incest spin added to that film.

"Burnt Offerings" by Robert Marasco is way better than the movie but the movie's climax was alot creepier than the book's IMO.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is way better than Charlie (book).
Mockingjay movie turned the short book in which absolutely nothing happens, into 2 mildly entertaining movies in which nothing happen.

heard american psycho is waaaaaaaay crazier than the movie but that the movie was better because of the stuff it held back on

American Psycho. Tried reading the book sometime last year, was a real chore. Movie version is way better.
