Heres my review of the film.
The Bobby Brown Story is way DARKER than the New Edition. The New Edition film focused more on their musical careers whereas they focused more on Bobby's personal life here. They were aiming for the fukkery crowd and boy did it deliever on that aspect!
Within the first 30 minutes of the movie, You're introduced into stabbings, shootouts, baby mama drama, record label drama, and that set the tone for what this whirlwind was gonna become.
This is NOT a family friendly film and Im surprised it didn't receive a R Rating based off the sex scenes but it was what Bobby was really living. Sex, Drugs, Music, and money. Brown literally epitomized Y.O.L.O. and this is what the film focused on.
We also find out things that wasn't really known(unless you're in the industry or read his book). Like Whitney's alleged lesbian relationship with Robin, Bobby allowing Whitney to run his assets through her company(Which is possibly why they couldn't get clearance for the songs for the movie so Woody sung them his self). We get detailed insides about his relationship with Janet Jackson which made social media go wild. Plus we also seen what caused his downfall.
The actors for the most part did well. Woody should literally get a Emmy for potraying Bobby. Phifer as always delievers, The shorty who played Whitney did her thing and the rest of the cast did a great job.
My complaints however is there are seems that felt rushed and like many films they be off with the timeline. I wish they got more indepth with his musical transition from Don't be Cruel to Bobby to Forever. They should have also made Bobby age more because he basically looked like he was in his 20s through the whole movie.
Overall I enjoyed it. Great Job BET
The last 3rd of the movie was typical BET ish. It doesn't even feel like the same move from Pt 1 and the beginning of Pt 2. That is became a highlight reel.
Oh yessss .
BTW I checked the credits on IMDB and saw the dude that played Pac in All Eyes On Me is in this. Anybody know what’s that about? I know it’s rumored Pac had something going on with Whitney. Never knew him and Bobby met with each other
Anyone have a download link?
Second biopic to include “Flava in ya ear”This biopic had a dope soundtrack to it. A lot of classics...
I ain't know Alicia and Bobby went back this far
I figured she had always been around and they knew each since they was both apart of the music scene but I ain't know they was friends like that
Alicia seem like a real good woman
She was a groupie hoe and an ex druggie herself. She was a side lice during his Whitney marriage.I ain't know Alicia and Bobby went back this far

Her actress was good af too. You could cut the sexual tension in that bathroom scene with a knife. Even when she was telling him to go be with Whitney you could see it was tearing her up inside that it wasn’t her instead.
Wasn’t Blu Ivy born the same time that’s Whitney passed ?I remember where I was when Whitney passed. Went to the mall late af, but started feeling sick so I left. Got home, laid down, and looked TV. Next thing I know my mom talking bout she passed. I hit the and switched to some random channels to see if it was true and peeped Twitter

Who was the guy Whitney brought in the house before Bobby left for the airport?
