I must say a black woman is the one that recommended me for a promotion but I do work with a lot of rotten self hating bytches that won't hesitate to throw a bm under the bus. They are quick to bow down when a white male tells them to do something or just laugh it off when they say some inappropriate shyt to them though. Late last year a wench got a brotha fired because he said she was black instead of European and I'm not even joking.

I've seen isolated cases of this and that's why I stick to myself. Black males in Corporate America really can't trust anyone to have their backs. You don't know who might be plotting against you because we're always the first to be fired.

That's why I'm glad that I switched fields to IT because I rarely have to put up with crap on the job. It's much easier to just pick up and go elsewhere when people start playing politics.

I see this at work too. I've had black women go hard on me but when uncle Sam shows up they're c00nin. They change the way they speak. Its wild. Black men do it too. I feel bad for black people who think they have to compromise their blackness because they're in a white space. I'm unapologetically black in white spaces.

I used to not use AAVE or have long hair because I thought it'd hurt my chances of moving up the ladder. Lmao, if you're black you've got two strikes against you in all professional white spaces. You might as well be yourself. If you're an Anglophile that's cool. Just don't forget you're black.

I don't know the full story but they were having a conversation about race and he said something along the lines of, "You as a black woman." From there it escalated because she said she was mixed with creole and said she was more in her words "Euro" than anything so she doesn't identify as black, mind you this broad is a dark skinned Haitian. She went to hr and he got let go after an investigation.
