Okay I just got to the midway point of the documentary and was Fred Hampton an agent:ohhh:

Did I miss something? I remember them saying his right hand man was an informant, but this....:why:

On another note, not to be too critical of the Panthers, but I really wish they were more organized. It really is disappointing to see leaders clashing in public, wildly contradictory ideas among members, and even general confusion about the end goal.

Maybe if they weren't snuffed out they would have gotten it together, but it really looks like the government overreacted to an organization who talked the revolutionary talk more than they walked the revolutionary walk (there was definitely some walking though :salute:). But I guess as a government you nip things like that in the bud.

considering the new black direction Freddy was trying to take his chapter of the Panthers i wouldn't be surprised if he had been compromised:yeshrug:yeah i do think only a minority of Panthers were ready to achieve revolution by any means necessary but that's to be expected when women were a significant percentage of the movement....the BP leadership should have recruited more soldiers like hitters Assasta Shakur ran with or the Death Angel headhunters across the Bay in San Fran. an thought of better defense mechanism for when the government brought the hammer down on them....

yeah i doubt the government was really physically threatened by the Panthers but were worried about them empowering poor blacks and undermining their interest which in the future could have turned into a real problem if things didn't change and thus decided to make a example out of them.

Sounds like you gotta do your googles on Fred:ufdup:,he was only willing to die for one group of people....Your stance is one made out of fear, but from Freds point of view theirs nothing scary about white people, brown people, yellow people having power IF its not abused....And IF black people had our own equal power of our own,and a community that could sustain itself then no other group of people would be able to abuse or oppress us even if they did have power of their own.

And lets not pretend Fred was talking about power to any ol white person,he didn't believe power should belong to anybody who didn't have the education, who would go on to be oppressors themselves....That went for black people as well,Fred was giving those cacs an education...if you were a white person who wanted to BE the oppressor you would simply get ran over or stripped of your power.

And while we talk about the all inclusiveness,it was black people willing to sellout that did Fred in along with the Panthers....even though it was on the orders of white men,it couldn't be carried out without black faces.

And look at the Michael B Jordan video I posted,Fred had a theory, many great black minds of the times had theories and actually put it in to PRACTICE.....They were all actually trying to build on their theories to see which ones worked and which ones didn't....People love to discredit the theories of these great black men from the past from Fred,Malcolm,MLK who actually put in WORK....What do they discredit them with?Theories of their own on how it should be done, never any WORK though:sas1:

Being that none of these black men lived to complete their plans to completetion, and blacks still don't have power nobodys theories have been proven right or wrong....Difference between them and us,is they actually put their theories and ideologys into practice, and died and went to jail to do so....We sit around arguing who's theories would work the best, and never put any work in to find out for ourselves....As if we all need to agree on a single theory before any of us move collectively.....theres nothing wrong with multiple movements, theres something wrong with no movement.

I reject your point on the grounds its disrespectful:scust:

I agree, breh cannot be familiar with Bacon's Rebellion
