At the beginning of mean streets
Saw the film last night, and again today because there was a Q and A with the director Stanley Nelson. My father was a member of the Black Panther Party, and wow the film just goes to show the more things change, the more things stay the same. Shame what happened to Fred Hampton, he was definitely the messiah the government was worried about. They had showings in different cities with interviews with former members as well.
