China doesn't care about spreading its culture, hell they happily learn other cultures to blend in and work directly with people on the ground, as opposed to Americans and Europeans who keep an elite stance.

Meanwhile China paid for the new HQ of the African Union and has been buying islands (yes, islands) in Southern Europe. US has a big military, but who exactly has it been attacking lately? Failed developing states, and they couldn't even win those wars.

I don't think China will take the same role the US has for now, mainly because it doesn't have too: whatever happens in the world, the US feels a need to intervene one way or another, and China can just go on doing business. Basically, why the US in under the spotlight, China just keeps growing, slowly but surely.
