I legit think he's gonna be the Beli disciple that's really gonna set it off like Beli branched off from Parcells. He coached on offense before coming up on the defensive side. I've had the thought since Beli came at ole boy sideways on the sideline once and he basically told Beli fukk it you call the D then and Beli gave him the :whoa:

I can't remember what game it was, but right then I was like Beli respects his whole setup. We may not be posting on here when it happens, but when it does the whole league is gonna be mad they ain't hire that cat.

Apparently he's gonna stay with the Pats now. I think it's the right move. No point inserting yourself into an HC position unless the circumstances are perfect.

I feel defensive guys have to toil in the league longer before getting HC gigs.

There is simply a huge bias towards hiring offensive coordinators or so called innovators to become NFL head coaches. Every other position coach likely has to toil in the ranks as a DC or special teams coach for years before given a chance. Mike Zimmer comes to mind as a guy who should have gotten a head coaching job years ago. Just look at how easy Chip Kelly found another job simply because he's viewed as an innovative offensive coach.

It's wack. Some of the leagues great coaches were former DC's.

This is starting to get sickening.

I'm loving these off-season coaching hires. All this means is McDaniels and Patricia get to spend another year with the Patriots.:ahh:.

Both will get head coaching jobs in the near future though, and as usual, Belichick will find some great replacements.

He was literally a rocket engineer and gave it up to start at the bottom in football. Belly says he's like the smartest guy he's ever met and the players love him. Hell get his time soon enough.

Patricia won't get a job until he decides to not look homeless anymore
