Ain’t that many densely populated red areas compared to blue if we keeping it a buck
:manny:
Shouldn’t the majority of the Americans’ opinion be the deciding factor? Let every American vote, and the candidate with the most votes wins. The small town person’s vote matters as one vote just like someone living in a big city.

And it still would not happen. Especially since thats how he got into office in the first place. He would just complain it was stolen like last time he lost

I feel you but accusations of voter fraud would definitely increase. Especially if the votes are close

Thats not true. It makes sure the smaller states' votes actually count for something...it also stops potentially tyranny from jumping off
Right. And if they did away with the EC it wouldn’t be about the states; IT WOULD BE ABOUT EVERY INDIVIDUAL PERSON. 330 million ppl in the country and they’d have to talk every single person’s vote because every vote would literally make a difference. :wtf:

No we wouldn’t :heh:

People complain about the electoral college but if it didn’t exist and you live in a certain state your vote would be irrelevant
One person, one vote

Certain flyover states are irrelevant and shouldn't have equal representation

I'm not even sure why this is a debate. These candidates have spent a disproportionate amount of time in 6-8 swing states because those states are still up for grab while ignoring the rest of the country outside of fundraising.

Idealism. It's kinda heartwarming. It's misguided thought.

An ideal. Especially an esoteric concept like voting. It gets automatically corrupted once you embody it. Make it into an organization. Being lots of people into it.

There's no real ideals. They cannot exist in the physical realm without being polluted by being material.

The best thing that can happen in the election is Trump getting absolutely blown out so there's no question about where the people are at right now.
