It's definitely one of those love it or hate in meadsI had that before I wasn’t a fan.
It was my 1st ever mead so the taste took me by surprise. I had it like 2011 when I 1st got into craft and international beers. It's definitely one of those love it or hate in meads
The Bourbon Barrel Quad is really good I’ve had it a few times before.Tried these recently
Bourbon Barrel Quad Four Pack 12 oz. Bottles
Based loosely on the Smokestack Series’ The Sixth Glass, this abbey-style quadrupel is separated into a number of oak bourbon barrels where it ages for varying lengths of time, some for up to three years. Cherries are added to make up for the “angel's share” of beer lost during barrel aging...store.boulevard.com
Kentucky® Bourbon Barrel Imperial Milk Stout - Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co.
Our Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Imperial Milk Stout is a 100%-barrel aged imperial milk stout with notes of chocolate and coffee. Hints of molasses round out the dark, roasted notes and bring about a sweet finish.lexingtonbrewingco.com
If you like barrel aged, these are really good.

Yeah I’ve always preferred stouts to porters. They are my 2nd favorite type of beers(Belgian tripels/dubbels are my favorites). The only problem is as it’s like rolling the dice with my stomach as I’ve gotten older. Stouts and tripels have my stomach doing jumping jacks depending on what I eat that day.Bourbon Barrel aged beers have become my thing since I had this at my local Alamo
KBS - Founders Brewing Company
This bold imperial stout is brewed with premium chocolate and coffee then aged in bourbon barrels that introduce notes of vanilla, cocoa, and charred oak.foundersbrewing.com
I find myself liking more stouts, and less porters as time goes on.
