The backlash from this crime wave is gonna be of epic proportions.

How old are you?

Who forced anyone to work at Walmart or Dollar General?

Can the people at walmart of dollar general pursue more education or training so they don't have to work those jobs?

Are they programs in place to help them pursue such training or education?

You know the answers but I wanna see if your going to give them honestly or continue with the woe is me routine
If you consider how our government spends trillions of dollars to give us illnesses like cancer and puts no effort into education reform and essentially creating walking zombies of every level, I’m at the point where I believe most them people CANNOT figure out ways to level up without someone holding their hand because they mentally cannot put it together.

If you got shot and we assembled a panel of people to investigate why you got shot instead of immediately treating you would you be alright?

I actually agree with the idea that we need to pour resources into things that address the root causes of crime but the problem is, those measures do little to address the immediate crime, they will pay future dividends in a climate where people want immediate solutions.

This crime bill talk is a symptom of the desperation of people who want and need immediate solutions.

What will a crime bill do that existing laws will not do? The original crime bill pumped more money into the police which the government has been doing at even higher rates in recent years. Outside of harsher sentencing and doing away with bails or increasing cost of bail, what else? How is a crime bill going to stop two people having an argument and one of the individuals losing control and shooting the other? How is a crime bill going to stop someone who is starving (or whatever) from killing the victim of the robbery?

Crime, before the 1994 Crime bill, was already on the decline. So whether that bill contributed to a decrease in crime or not is debatable. Other measures probably would have been more fruitful than creating a crime bill.

But, as you mentioned it is a symptom of desperation, which is why we shouldn't be reactionary and support a policy that was proven to be more hurtful than helpful.

"They didn't have the benefit of knowing what we do now: that the death penalty would be disproportionately administered to black defendants; that many imprisoned didn't pose a serious threat; that many of the "criminals" had actually been victims of childhood lead poisoning which studies show link to "impulsivity, behavioral problems, hyperactivity, and impaired cognition, all of which are associated with crime."

For Good!

Let's stop it before they go down that road, and let's try rehabilitation before slaughtering folks en masse and thus causing more problems.

Not sure where all this slander for people working low wage jobs is coming from. Society needs people to work those jobs to function properly. A retail/fast food/etc employee is more vital to society than the average corporate employee pushing papers and getting paid high 5/low 6 figures a year to spend half their work day bullshytting on the internet :unimpressed:

Not to mention, someone with the humility to work those jobs until something better comes along are usually not the people out there committing acts of violence. It’s actually more likely to be unemployed dudes with thousands of dollars of cash available at all times or unemployed people in general.

Not even trying to get at y’all personally, I just hate to see mistreatment and/or slander of underpaid people working jobs everyone would be :mjcry: if there was no one willing to work them.

Society is not designed for everyone to be a business owner and/or corporate employee.

TLRepublicans at it again. Beefing with people, simply cause they born broke and black.

You shytting on every first World country where the government "holds the hands" of the citizen and heavily regulate essential needs like housing, food, public services, and so on

This is the most bullshyt generalized statement - smh. This is why I find less and less of a reason to jump on these threads. Fukkin bullshyt non-factual white agenda mediaspeak; the economy is worse than it has been since levels not seen since 2009. Tech boom is busting, home ownership is at an all time low, unaffordable housing, reduction in educational programs, mutiply that by 10x for people in detrimental situations who started on uneven territory. Everything costs. Then to go with that false logic of racism not factoring in, at a time when qualified black candidates are not presented with equal earning opportunities. Miss me with this.

People get mad at me for going after the wealthy that enables economic injustice

You actually can blame white supremacy on some of it.
Because white supremacy has historically been at the heart of many of the political, social and economic decisions that have left minorities trapped in poverty and without a ladder to upward mobility. Everywhere on earth where people are marginalized and neglected, crime follows. This is a known fact.

It's hard for the average person to connect crime to this because it's not a Point A -- Point B path.
But if you think about it even a little, it's fairly clear.

The problem is, many reasonable people acknowledge that Republican officials are disgusting racist pigs, while not realizing Democrats are also disgusting racist pigs.

When people hear stories like these, telling them that the solution is better funding for youth programs doesn't really sound all that satisfying, even if it's a great answer. People want more immediate solutions.

Nikkas in here championing tough om crime wave policies like regular black ppl won't ne affected
You realize most of the victims are other black people, right?
The problem with these threads is always that you have black folks living in gated communities and suburbs surrounded by nothing but cacs and rice cacs speaking on issues that don't affect them. If you don't live in one of these areas being affected by this "crime wave", you're not going to have the proper perspective on what should or shouldn't be done. It's the same problem the boule has.
So what’s the solution?

The report shows that the median Black family wealth is $24,000while m

And that’s all on white supremacy, right? We can’t make better choices?

We can’t stop having so many kids young, and out of wedlock? Do we not know how to use birth control? Do we not have so many single households, and money spent on child support, and women not wanting to make more because they’ll lose benefits, and renting section 8 instead of owning homes to pass down to children, and money on gym memberships, and sneakers, and the kid is dressed fly, but no insurance policies?

We can’t possibly stop living that way. We need our hands held through everything. And money will definitely stop black men from resorting to violence, as opposed to better conflict resolution.

Plenty of people do. Plenty.

Majority ain’t acting the fool, especially committing violent crimes
Right. Agreed. Let’s keep the same energy about these threads that people create every Damn day on a revolving cycle about crime and violence but never see these same crime thread content creators posting any other topics.

F out of my mentions with this. Answer your own questions and provide the solutions. Since you want to post 20 questions - post the cooresponding answers. I’ll reply with objections or comments. That’s a discussion. Don’t come at me with a wall of inquiries. You’ve been asking and saying the same recycled generalized positions for 4 years- you haven’t figured it out yet or made progression in your contributions. Literally, I can back to a 2018- 2020 search and post up where you say these exact same words- do better.
