How old are you?

Who forced anyone to work at Walmart or Dollar General?

Can the people at walmart of dollar general pursue more education or training so they don't have to work those jobs?

Are they programs in place to help them pursue such training or education?

You know the answers but I wanna see if your going to give them honestly or continue with the woe is me routine
Yall are dumb
Yes, poverty is real
How much do you think ppl make at Walmart and dollar general?
Not sure where all this slander for people working low wage jobs is coming from. Society needs people to work those jobs to function properly. A retail/fast food/etc employee is more vital to society than the average corporate employee pushing papers and getting paid high 5/low 6 figures a year to spend half their work day bullshytting on the internet :unimpressed:

Not to mention, someone with the humility to work those jobs until something better comes along are usually not the people out there committing acts of violence. It’s actually more likely to be unemployed dudes with thousands of dollars of cash available at all times or unemployed people in general.

Not even trying to get at y’all personally, I just hate to see mistreatment and/or slander of underpaid people working jobs everyone would be :mjcry: if there was no one willing to work them.

Society is not designed for everyone to be a business owner and/or corporate employee.

The reality is there is nothing you can do with the current group of street dudes on the streets other than prosecution, and a rehabilitative approach to prison, rather than a punishment approach to prison, that does nothing more than make criminals more hardened when they get out of prison, and become bigger menaces.

The question is, what can be done to make sure the next generation does not fall into the same behavior?

Unless you believe black children are born violent (then you're basically a white-supremacist eugenicist), then you understand that environment influences. It's not absolute, but effects the probability. Crime is not related to race, but related to poverty. Improve wealth inequality, access to healthcare, more funding for schools, less restrictive access to higher education, better workers rights and working conditions, more affordable housing, etc then you will see a drastic decrease in crime more than a "crime bill" could ever accomplish.

If we are still dealing with the same problems, that means it didn't solve the problems we are still plagued with. But leave it up to dumbass reactionaries, an even tougher crime bill is needed.

:snoop:
Needed and what’s going to happen are two different things tho

An overcorrection is coming whether you like it or not

So no one should be shocked. And please believe parents are going to pay the price as part of the repercussions too

No need for a crime bill, as someone mentioned before we can increase efforts to reduce crime and gang activity while investing in disadvantaged communities. This will undoubtedly be better than just a crime bill. A crime bill doesn't solve the underlying issues that lead to crime.

If you got shot and someone put a band aide on the wound would you be alright?

If you got shot and we assembled a panel of people to investigate why you got shot instead of immediately treating you would you be alright?

I actually agree with the idea that we need to pour resources into things that address the root causes of crime but the problem is, those measures do little to address the immediate crime, they will pay future dividends in a climate where people want immediate solutions.

This crime bill talk is a symptom of the desperation of people who want and need immediate solutions.

The government that people say is out to destroy black people will not save black people. Why is this so hard for people to understand? They don't want to fix the problem that they purposely created.

Nah actually I emphasized po' to highlight the fact that poverty isn't as extreme as it was not even 30 years ago. Anyone old enough to remember how hoods use to look an how they look now can attest to that.(Philly and Baltimore are an expectation cause wtf) But yeah my ebonics suck whatever that's suppose to mean I should neg your fukk ass for actually typing such a lazy post.
This is the most bullshyt generalized statement - smh. This is why I find less and less of a reason to jump on these threads. Fukkin bullshyt non-factual white agenda mediaspeak; the economy is worse than it has been since levels not seen since 2009. Tech boom is busting, home ownership is at an all time low, unaffordable housing, reduction in educational programs, mutiply that by 10x for people in detrimental situations who started on uneven territory. Everything costs. Then to go with that false logic of racism not factoring in, at a time when qualified black candidates are not presented with equal earning opportunities. Miss me with this.

I agree a radical culture change has to happen, but I also understand not all black parents are capable at enacting that culture change, which is why I support existential ways of dealing with problems in ways that incapable parents can't.

People can’t focus on the right shyt if they’re coping with daily struggles whether it’s mental, financial and lack the resources or support.

Dude stfu- you don’t know what you talk. Post the factual research or don’t @ me with your invalid opinion. I’m restraining myself from rocking you on your own shyt, take the hint. Stupid ass. I can tell that you read NOTHING except for your unfiltered Twitter feed.

The report shows that the median Black family wealth is $24,000while median White family wealth is around $188,000. According to the report, Black wealth could skyrocket if financial barriers were dismantled.Jun 19, 2021

The middle class, once the economic stratum of a clear majority of American adults, has steadily contracted in the past five decades. The share of adults who live in middle-class households fell from 61% in 1971 to 50% in 2021, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis of government data.

The analysis below presents seven facts about how the economic status of the U.S. middle class and that of America’s major demographic groups have changed since 1971. A related analysisexamines the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the financial well-being of households in the lower-, middle- and upper-income tiers, with comparisons to the Great Recession era. (In the source data for both analyses, demographic figures refer to the 1971-2021 period, while income figures refer to the 1970-2020 period.

Laws need to enacted with consequences without bias. Part of the problem. Cooper getting a slap on the wrist and Quan getting 5 years is part of the problem
