That's $980/month.

That may be the average, but I'd bet the median is lower. Furthermore, for multiple kids, you get to take advantage of "economies of scale" so three wouldn't be $2940/month.

Is it that hard to believe a child would cost on average $13,000 a year? Doesn't seem all that unreasonable to me shyt I probably cost my parents more than that.

listen here breh

you can buy your child a 100 dollar shirt, or a 10 dollar shirt

you can buy them 100 shirts a year or 10 shirts a year

you can buy them restaurant food or shop at the grocery store (cheaper)

it depends on how you do it

they're only putting this number up to condition people that they HAVE to spend that much or else they aren't providing their seeds with financial stability

In the Silver Lining
$235,000/18 years = averages to 13,500/ year

Don't seem like a lot, but I guess when you tack on a little brother or sister or two.... :ohlawd:

Fellas and ladies better start getting on that DIY tip.....grow your own food, work around the house, etc....if you can.....

This

With healthcare, food, clothing, other everyday expenses, it's believable.

Someone confirm this.

Is the biggest expense in their calculation housing?

If so, this study is nonsense

my coworker says his daycare bill for 2 children is 20K a yr :usure:

you can have a full-time live in nanny in ny for a little bit more than that, doesn't sound accurate to me.
