People forgetting that Booker had the heavyweight title for a lengthy period, its not like they gave him teh belt and he lost it the next night on raw, the guy defended it against cena, batista etc etc plus he had a good "different" gimmic, king booker and people stil not happy, that was booker at his near best, dont tell me you really favour 2002 booker over 2006 king booker?

Only one of those who I think has a legit case IMO is MVP; Mark Henry's been extremely injury prone for the last decade, Shelton was :trash: on the mic, and Kofi might be more of a victim of Vince's big man fetish more than anything racial.

Shelton was not terrible on the mic. He was decent enough to get by. And his ring work more than made up for his average mic skills. How do you explain The Miz getting a push?

What about Booker?

I think he was mostly a victim of the colossal fail (IMO) that was the Invasion storyline. Not saying race didn't factor into it, but he was one of several (mostly white) wrestlers that lost/buried in transition.

Shelton is trash on the mic, but so is Swagger, and that dude got the WHC.

And it was a terrible idea, doens't help Shelton's case much tho. And I say that having stanned him back in HS.

Anyway, what I think is the biggest problem is Vince's insistence that main eventers can't just be "wrestlers", but a character that he can create and brand. Couple this with the fact that Vince is a culturally out-of-touch old white dude, and it's a problem. He can relate to the core audience of working class whites just enough that a few new white wrestlers can get over, but they're clueless on how to present appealing black characters.

Like, have y'all ever noticed how many black wrestlers they made dye their hair weird colors? Shelton, Viscera (RIP), Coco B Ware, etc? I guess they think that because it's worked for a few white dudes it's all good, not realizing they just make dudes look like Sisqo

isnt norman smiley a trainer in wwe?

not being funny but if their isnt enough people trying to get in then why should they need them?

I know Norman was training for a while but he is the only one anyone can name in their system. Have they EVER had a black writer? I think Ron Simmons may have been a road agent at one time but who knows if they have had anyone else.

Still weak for a company that has been around that long

No you aren't. You're using the same naive myopic points that white people use whenever the topic of race in wrestling comes up. Every point you've brought up has been used by racist wrestling fans trying to deflect.

im not man i just dont think every move is racist thats all

like i said do u want all the black wwe stars to be 10/10 champs? its not going to happen

Not really. The Miz does not equal star power. And there wasn't a significant boost from Miz holding the title.

There hasn't been a significant boost from ANYTHING they've tried over the past couple of years :mjlol:

That's why they keep trying different shyt......like having a somewhat-popular MTV reality star win their top title, just because he put in a few years work beforehand

It got the media talking, though.......no denying that.....

its almost like they fear a black wrestler getting to popular and styling on everyone

They already had the Dwayne do that for years, though :dahell:

Did some of you nikkas already agree that the Dwayne isn't black, and I just wasn't informed or something? :mjlol:
