Vegeta put nikkas he really ain't give a shyt about at risk because of his bloodline. I would say pride and ego but it boils down to bloodline at the end of the day because Goku did the same shyt basically. This makes sense. Vegeta still messed up worse IMO, but this explanation makes sense.
The only part I disagree with is Krillin having all the power since Vegeta could have smoked Cell right there, ending any need to deactivate 18 in the first place.
