That destroys the market. It's no longer a free market if they limit the amount of money you can make. No retail investor will have faith in the market after this. Unless they want to remove near 30% of all investors (retail) they shouldn't do that
Alot of people don't have faith in the market now,just like people don't have faith in the casino. But yet and still,gamblers just keep coming back to the table
Investors have faith in the market,but real investors in general see AMC as a joke stock and having it crash will just be their chance to say "We told you so,this is why you buy the S&P500 and stocks with good fundamentals

People in AMC are mostly "degenerate" gamblers admittedly. The market knows those types of traders already expect fukkery,and know the market is full of manipulation. They've already experienced it first hand,but keep coming back to the table
I really don't think they see them removing themselves for good as a legitimate long term threat. We always come back for the next win. And true investors expect for AMC to go to shyt,its what they've been taught is supposed to happen to this type of stock.
