but my counter is that either way the market tanks. foreign money is also invested in this, notably from germany and some asian countries. if trading gets egregiously halted or the government comes out and says "yall won fine, but we ain't printing the money for yall to get payed like you want to"
russia, china, etc etc are shouting from the top of the mountain that the US market is a sham. there will be an outcry from foreign investors not to mention them screwing us like that isn't gonna get swept under the rug domestically. I for sure would be moving all the money I do get to crypto and I'm sure many others would follow suit
if we win the states and the government gets paid. I'll remind everyone that majority of states are cash strapped right now due to shutdowns and unemployment. from my limited view it seems like us winning is the lesser of two evils to them

The rich/elite don't pay taxes half the time. We're basically taking money from them and then giving a cut to the government.....money that would be sitting in a Swiss bank account.
