Its in their best interest at this point to just let things play out, but the closer we get to a full year of kicking the can down the road they'll more than likely side with us.
Not ALL of the big money tried to short amc and gme. Some of them get screwed too if worst case scenario happens for us.
If hundreds of thousands of people and upwards to a couple million between the two stocks hold for high xx,xxx to low to mid xxx,xxx figures thats where the bulk of the money has to come from.
If the fed doesn't approve it the US market is getting blasted from foreign countries and its own citizens and the dollar tanks. It probably will anyway but it's worse if public and foreign faith in the market goes to zero

true to the boldedI’m holding and hoping for the best like everyone else, but I still need to keep my grip on reality.
We don’t know if it’s in the government’s best interest to let this thing blow, and if I had to bet I’d say it’s not. We don’t know how deep this runs and/or how many stocks and sectors are affected. All we know is what’s going on in our little corner.
If this thing taking off coincides with the rest of the market crashing then that in itself shows why the govt wouldn’t want this and would work with the HF to ease the hurt. Other HF may want this, but that’s normal for them.
And I wouldn’t worry about other countries and their confidence in our markets over this. This is all par for the course for them, it’s only new to us.
I just want info that’s as real and honest as I can get.
Everyday It’s “tomorrow or next week is when such and such goes into effect”
Some info for brehs in this thread idk if it was already mentioned but AMC was put on the threshold securities list on June 25th meaning it had 5 consecutive days of FTDs with them being at least 0.5% of shares outstanding.
If AMC is on that list 13 consecutive trading days then there is a rule in place which those FTDs will forcibly closed out. So far it's been on there 4 consecutive days so we'll see what happens with that.
