The Cheeto in Charge expressed his intent to withdraw the United States from the Paris Accord in 2017, which was officially recognized just last month.
Reason being? "It would undermine the American economy" :francis:

China is still apart of the accord and has long since committed to reducing their country's carbon emissions.

Americans have zero discipline and love to complain.

Nobody forced you to use Amazon. YOU people wanted the convenience of shopping without social interaction and now are acting confused that the social aspect of shopping (brick and mortar stores and retail associates) are being phased out.

If you were truly concerned for the retail workers you would get off your ass and walk into a store so they would stop closing

I can't believe anyone agreed with that dumb shyt. Breh you should research Amazons business model before you come in here with those wild statement. Amazon started as a online bookstore and expanded. When they made profit selling other products, they was able to sell books at a loss. Brick and mortar stores Book stores folded cause they couldn't compete with the prices Amazon offer.

Amazon used this practice against every business. Sell similar products at a loss til it crushes you. it's not all convenience , brick and mortar can't compete with prices they offer

You probably think you said something profound. A brick and mortar store will never be able to compete with an online store in terms of price because the online store has less overhead.

But that still doesn't mean you're forced to buy from the online store. People with actual principles pay a premium everyday to support businesses they agree with politically or ethically, or that provide excellent customer service.

You can't pretend to care about retail workers when you can't even be bothered to pay a few extra dollars to keep them employed.

With the wage/cost of living squeeze, this is all inevitable. Can’t expect folks whom are trying to stretch these same dollars to cover shyt that’s rising in cost to pay a premium for retail consistently at all.

Most of the people that got out of the middle class went into the upper middle class. Largest economic category increase in in the last 10 years. People have money and they can afford it.

It's all a question of what came first the chicken or the egg.

Back before Walmart dealt the first blows to retail, people had no problem paying for American manufactured goods and the stores that housed them.

I remember by 95 (I was 10 years old) going to Walmart and seeing the roll back price stand with whole dollars dropping off prices. I also remember a very active controversy where people would mention how all of Walmart's products were made in china and people should avoid them and buy American.

By 99 stores were closing left and right and the rollback is now instead of something being 9.99 in other stores its 9.96 in Walmart.

Clinton didn't inherit a recession so people willingly participated in this to save a few bucks even knowing the ultimate cost.

I know you wanna blame corporations like amazon but the consumer has to shoulder some blame too. It's like the study where you take the same item and list one at $50 and list the other one as "marked down" to $50 and more people are gonna buy the 2nd option despite because they "feel" like they got a deal.

And just like boomers started killing retail with walmart, millennials finished it with Amazon.

Everyone wants a deal. In the end, this was the inevitable price

if people were paid fair wages they wouldnt be worried about saving a few dollars. Worrying about where you shyt is made is rich people problems.
