Unfortunately Raimi went on to tell us that he didn’t think he could successfully get the audience to believe a Goblin mask would come to life like that when slipped on a person’s face.

This might look spectacular (pun intended) in 3D...
Raimi-verse Green Goblin is probably the most sympathetic one from any form of media I've seen. While Norman is usually portrayed as a cold hearted b*stard, this one was a scientist trying to do good who would occasionally but not purposely over look his son. It was a nice change of pace. The Goblin serum made him into a cold hearted, murdering b*stard.

that's how the goblin was like in the 60s, 70s, he was kind of sympathetic like dr.jekyll and hyde but then the 90s came about it turned out osborn was away in the UK lurking then he suddenly shows up revealing he has a slow working healing factor, he turned super evil like cloning gwen and scoring with her
