He has some talent but putting him in that spot disrespects the culture

Alchemist is probably the only white dude in hip hop that deserves that placement. Dude has given us classics for 20plus years and never did no funny style shyt

The thing about top 5 producers on anyone's list is that they've carried MULTIPLE CLASSIC ALBUMS. not multiple classic beats, but multiple classic albums. How many of those does Alchemist have? Dre, Primo, Marley, Bomb Squad, and Rza all at least got 5 classics they carried (done last least 50% production on.) shyt, Larry Smith got at least 4. Any body can make hot beats, but can anyone carry multiple classic albums? And I think very highly of Alchemist. He's dope, but top 5? I don't know about that one..

Alchemist has never truly been mainstream, that’s why people may think he “doesn’t have any classics”.

Should be producer of the decade if we being honest.

He reaching top 5 all time status.

He personally the greatest hip hop producer of all time to me. Just his sheer longevity and level of quality he’s been able to maintain for 20 + years.

Very few producers could do the types of collab projects he does with so many different types of rappers and be able to match their sound/style. He been on a legendary run the past decade that solidified it for me.

I mean if people want to get into it, I don't see how this isn't under consideration. The sheer magnitude of quality work the man has done since 2014 is crazy and if we go further back than that it's even more wild. Not even a question Al is in my top 5.
