It's a hard choice for me, Kanye is the most diverse but has a few misses under his belt. Al is the most consistent But out the 3 Just has dropped some of my all time favorite beats..... I'll go with Alchemist, but you can't go wrong picking any of them.

Heat and classics are different things my little friend.
* Compare Havocs production for Mobb deep with Alc's song he did for P , this nikka Havoc was one of the biggest influences in the NY Sound
But he's not got the wides range, that's why I put them on about the same level. Playing 7 years in the league averageing 30pp and 8 assists and winning 3 rings and 3 finals MVPs >>> playing 23 years and averaging 10 points and 1 assist and winning nothing.

* Q-tip's last dope beat was for Watch The Throne, before that I would say The Renaissance (which isn't in Tips top 5 even) is better produced than any of Alchemists fully produced albums (debatable though)

Hi-tek is the one who is comparable with Alchemist the most, besides the fact that he has a lot more classics, a lot more influence and his sound had a bigger impact on the game. He paved the way for cats like Alchemist. And I'm not feeling that most cats in here don't even know shyt about Alchemist besides his most famous shyts with Prodigy, Nas and his latest shyt but still act like he's Dr. Dre :smh:.

And tell the fakkit Gifted One to stop following me around, every thread I'm in I see him quoting the same cats I'm discussing with

alcs done MANY songs with prodigy and havoc. and he consistently has top beats/albums of the year. stop frontin on him like that breh. and :childplease: @ the thought of hi-tek having more classics than alc or just or kanye.

im not tryna downplay any of the producers u mentioned, but their just not in the same league as alc :manny:

These three IMO are the best producers of the 2000s, can't go wrong with choosing any of them. Ye kinda fell off a bit because he's taken on more of a Quincy Jones type role with his "team" and produces a bit less than the other two.

As of now, Alc=Blaze>Ye

All time,

:whoo: shyt is tough

This nikka said I'm following him around when I only mentioned this kid in this thread? This nikka is beyond stupid, averages almost double the amount of posts per day compared to me, has more than 400 more posts than me but yet I'm following you around? Bruh everyone looks at you like an idiot, no one even cosigns your shytty opinions, not to mention you come across as some spoiled brat because everyone sees something different from you.

nikka this is about who's ILLER...all u lookin at is fame n shyt but even so KANYE and JUST BLAZE themselves wouldn't even say the shyt u sayin..u tryna act like Alc is some kinda "other dope nikka"...no..that's just not true..JAY and NAS wouldn't agree wit what u sayin bout Alc...Just cause he ain't as mainstream as them nikkas overall don't mean shyt...but he could flip that coin anytime he wants..both them nikkas would admit they could learn some things from him production wise...u the only one in this thread..no matter what the opinion as who's the best...who undermining dude on the level u are...he's just as much as a great as they are...AND he's more consistent...

People also front like ALC is some purely underground producer. The man got his Grammy from his work on The Carter 3. He's done beats for goddamn Linkin Park. Nas, Snoop, Nelly, Missy Elliot, Cam'ron, Game, 50 Cent, T.I.....as well as your Big Pun, Fat Joe, Ghostface, Mobb Deep, LOX, CNN types rappers WHILE THEY WERE SELLING RECORDS in the late 90's and early 00's!

Yeah cause when nikkas think about Book of rhymes we think about the "classic" beat it had.

I respect Alc but I just named 17 producers that without a single doubt in my mind I would rate higher, I just don't know why you nikkas are pulling out songs from Mobb Deep in their worst period and other just nice (nothing more or less) joints. As to prove that he's better than Kanye West. Got me thinking that you nikkas don't even know shyt about Alchemist.

Murda Muzik and HNIC was Mobb's worst period? Al did the single for HNIC and that shyt was everywhere. I get it, if people want to compare him as a producer, I said in my first post, Kanye is the best producer is the traditional sense of the word. He makes albums, knows how to put people together, arrange, get the most out of tracks, etc. But beat for beat it's Just and ALC above Kanye.

I personally think Just Blaze is arguably the most talented producer of the 15-20 years and it's crazy Just is last in this poll, but to rank ALC alongside Salaam fukking Remi is a slap in the face to Alan the Chemist.

And to say quantity > quality...yes that's true. But Alchemist isn't exactly dumping music out every week. In fact, he's only released like what, 2 projects this year? That's not that much, considering one of them was made a long time ago.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying about people not knowing the depth of a lot of these producers work, but about the Hi-Tek comment. Hi-Tek and Alchemist were making the same style of beats in 1998. Truly. When Train of Thought dropped in 2000 it was very Dilla inspired and a lot of cats were influenced by Tek, and Tek is very underrated, even on here. To say Tek paved the way for Alchemist is crazy, because Alchemist was doing beats before/during the same time. They were making the same music in the same lane.

If you wanna talk about the two people that paved the way for ALC you gotta talk DJ Premier and DJ Muggs. Muggs mentored him and then ALC ghost produced on Temples of Boom, and ALC spent all of his time at D&D with Premier while Gang Starr was making Moment of Truth. Al's original style was a blend of Preem and Muggs, but eventually he found his own sound, and he's evolved it ever since, and is still evolving it now.

Once again not to hammer it in so deep but Just Blaze can do any damn thing with music. The guy could be one of the biggest dub-step or rock producers in the world if he were so inclined. Just Blaze was making functional video games and computer programs by the time he was 10.

I'm not talking about the coli classics that no one gives a f'ck about, I'm talking about real classics. And yes lack of influence. He's dope but not on that other level like Just and Ye. These dudes have classics for days that everyone knows, those YouTube links the dude above posted the beats are average beats in Kanye and Justs discography.

He's the currency of tr game maybe, idk I rate him higher.
Kanye and Just are more like Nas and Jay of this shyt. Not no damn Spitta.
He's around the same level as Salaam Remi

1. Dr. Dre
2. Rza
3. Dj Premier
4. Pete Rock
5. Q-tip
6. Kanye West
7. No ID
9 J. Dilla
10. The Neptunes (only hiphop)
11. The Bomb Squad
12. Just Blaze
13. Hi-Tek
14. Organized Noise
15. Timbaland (only hiphop)
16. Large Professor
17. Havoc

Maybe here
18. Alchemist

So I respect him, but he's not fukking with those other dudes and I can't see howhe could unless you're a religiously deep underground head.
I don't know if people don't fukk with Ye and Just or just overrate Alchemist. We're talking about a nikka with a couple classic songs and the rest is comparing currensy mixtapes and Prodigy albums and shyt with classics like Blueprint, CD, LR, BE, Finding Forever and the list is long .

Biggie >> Currensy and Wiz Khalifa.
I don't give a fukk if they drop more music in 3 months than biggie did in his life, and for the last time QUALITY, IMPACT, INFLUENCE and CLASSICS >>> Quantity.

:dwillhuh:

Dilla at 9?...ok...sure
