What are the blackest cities?

The Pacific Coast is the most African, while the Atlantic Coast is more Caribbean (as in people in modern times you'd call Black but have clearly non African admixture in some cases, while Pacific Coast no confusion about their admixture).

In the Atlantic Coast Congolese Music is big, they call it Champeta Africana

You find them along the Colombian side of the Pacific sea. Because that's where Maroons would usually establish their autonomous regions. The entire Chocó Department of Colombia is one of the blackest regions in the new world.

I also recommend visiting Afro-Ecuadorians, in places like Esmeraldas(Ecuador). Amazing experience and reception.

I keep telling people, there is a black world out there. You can be a traveler who travels long distances, mostly interacts with other black people, and in the end feel extremely happy and satisfied...

I wouldn’t go to Ecuador for a while especially not the pacific region. Not until they catch that dude who escaped.

Again they ain’t trying to bother you but right now the place is low key a warzone.

And scopolamine.....:lupe:
Not the pacific area. No tourism.

Medellin yes, Cartegena Yes Bogota Yes Cali Yes. Quibdo no.

Basically your chances of getting scoped depends on how many tourists are there the more tourists the more likely being scoped with the eoicenter being a Parque Llares chick in Medellin.

basically it depends on how many male tourists are in the area. Parque lleras has the most male tourists followed by the Clock Tower area in Carty then the Santa Fe area in Bog with the least in San Antonio in Cali.

Low key dealing with Afro Colombians exclusively lessens your chances of running into a scope mob because most people prefer lightskins

I need to finally make my way there. If I land a remote cyber security job I'm hitting Quibdo and Cali. Have zero interest in getting scoped.

I think the whole pacific region of Colombia is beautiful and I intend to make it my permanent home.

However If this is your first trip to Colombia or your first overseas trip I wouldn’t go to Quibdo without knowing anyone. Not that something will happen to you the issue is little things like having hot water in your Hotel so you’d have to know how to ask and check.

If I were making a first overseas trip unless I did massive research or at least spoke good spanish I’d go to Cartagena for a first trip. You get some of the same culture There’s the Maroon Town of Palenque (it’s kind of a tourist trap unfortunately) plenty of Black people and a little more tourist friendly.

I’d join the Black in Cali facebook group link with Eddie or some of the expats and halfpats who go to Quibdo especially for the festival. They’ll know where to stay and what to eat and things like that.
