You will be treated with admiration. Though I have to say in business transactions, when they find out your african american or if they hear a foreign accent they will jack up the price of goods because they believe all foreigners are rich. Also if you run into crooked cops they will definitely ask you for Christmas present. My best advice is when you go to Nigeria, just blend in. Try to adopt a Nigerian accent

Luanda is very beautiful. Them cats are doing well. My only problem with them is that they are allowing foreigners like Chinese and Portuguese too much access into their economy. So a lot of foreigners are getting rich at the expense of some of the local population.

On one hand, they are kinda needed to speed up development of the economy, infrastructure and create jobs, but the natural resources are being plundered and people mistreated too much to justify such a sacrifice. Africa as a whole needs to stand up to the robbery of its abundant raw wealth, a.k.a. the key to true progress and power.

Hopefully the news of Nigeria rejecting the west's attempt to getting in Nigeria's economy will spark the same mindset in Africa overall. They should control their resources not foreigners (china included).

The construction pics you see are nothing. They plan to start full blown high rise construction by the middle of this year. They intend to have people living on Eko atlantic by 2016. The goal is to fully have Eko Atlantic completed by 2022. thee best part is that this wont be a white elephant project because 90% of Eko Atlantic land has already been sold. So basically the buyers have to submit the architectural designs for the buildings and Eko company will build it.
