Islam y’all

They’ve been killing each in the Middle East for hundreds of years, nothing changes

Except now, you have made enemies, because you participated and they will be coming for the U.S. now. It doesn't matter if it takes 20 years or 100 years, they will try and pay the United States back for being involved. Could be a dirty bomb in an intermodal container, or a rocket missile.

US got what they wanted and just meleangered there.

Wasn't really trying to change that country cause it's easy enough to do. The secret weapon is introducing western ideology coupled with a means for them to participate. If we'd done that the takiban wouldn't stand a chance. They'd be met with jits packing heat and yelling Chiraq.

What a hot take.

Also these people aren't following Islam, just their version of it.

The equivalent of evangelical Christians, IDC what they call themselves they aren't following the tenets in their respective religious text.

Would have to also ignore the NOI and all the good they did in their respective communities.

But you knew this.
Oh you mean just like the vast majority of the world and how they pick and choose their own versions of their religions :stopitslime:

Other religions are fukked up, but most of them aren’t trying to fukk you up, at least not now like in the past .

I have lived in a Islamic country and their religion controls every facet of their life.

None of that is possible. It started to get AQ out the paint. The Taliban stayed because they didn’t want to lose their massive open air drug/arms market. They lost and were forced into Pakistan’s western tribal reservations. Coalition forces stayed and tried to implement all that you mentioned. At the end of the day deeply rooted culture (tribalism in this case) will always beat out a new foreign way of life. You can free and change the cities, but the rest of the country is extremely rural. Many of those people have never seen a TV or listened to a radio. When the Afghan govt conscripted them they had no reason to give a fukk aside from pay. When things got hot they went home… and who can blame them aside from the guys they left behind and they don’t give a fukk about them either. To them taliban rule is another minor change in the wind. The culture, especially that of the eastern region of the country, is cool to read about if you’re interested and have the time.

It’s a problem we created by destabilizing the region lol

We didn’t destabilize that one. It was already a big ass, brazenly open market market for good dope and stolen Soviet/eastern bloc weapons to anyone who had the money. There was a constant struggle for power between tribal warlords. We destabilized the fukk out of Iraq though

Majority don't want that. This is what America fails to realize. When the media shows you those crying about change there, it's always the minority. The tribal people who dominate these countries want to live with their own rules. People also don't realize that often times these American backed groups are corrupt and abusive too which is another reason while the others hate them so much. This was a waste of money and innocent lives from both sides. Now Taliban is easily taking over without any resistance, and they get to keep all the nice tech that America gave to that military.

Almost 4 trillion dollars spent on the War in Afghanistan in 20 years and absolutely nothing to show for it.

Imagine if just half of that money was spent on healthcare, infrastructure, housing, education? Just half.

Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing, Northrop shareholders (most of congress) ate well for the past decades though :francis:

gawd damn 4 trillion…

Lose to goat herders brehs… :snoop:
