Honestly, if you won't acknowledge that the media was trying to toss Kobe in with Jordan since day 1, there is no point in discussing this with you any further.
I already identified the crux of your argument as a strawman, how much more criticism do you need? LeBron's status as an all time great is not in question, you even admit his place among the ATGs in your sloppily written article.
When you are trying to make a claim that the media is attempting to convince people LeBron>Jordan, use examples. When you are trying to make a claim that the attempt has been successful, use evidence such as polls, etc. I don't think the media has made people like LeBron, I think there is actually much more evidence to prove the opposite.
From my own experience, the people who like sports talk (including those who spend more time watching first take than actual games) are the people who hate LeBron the most.
I didn't really want to tear up your essay grammatically because I welcome a conversational flow in modern journalism but there still has to be some boundaries.
As an opinion piece, it just sucks. A persuasive essay should move the undecided readers and make the opposing side question their own thought process. This is just fluff for people who already hate LeBron.

LeBron's defense has been pointed out quite a bit lately. The Cavs defense has been an issue all year long. Not sure what you have been watching.
LeBron wasn't praised simply for beating toronto and Indiana. He was praised for his individual performance in those wins. Do you think Kobe's 81 was celebrated because he beat Toronto? Or because he scored 81. Use your fukking head.
LeBron's failures aren't spun. If he fails, he gets skewered. If he plays well and his team loses, that's not a failure and it never has been. Historically, players have always been praised for balling out in a playoff loss.
