I don't think so. The Academy also likes to vote for important flicks and out of every flick nominated, 12 years, Her and Wolf of Wall Street seem to have the most to say about where we currently are as a country and where we've been but 12 years has the edge of being the most "important" in the sense of shining a light on a piece of history that a lot of Americans would rather forget. Plus there isn't a bad performance in it
True, unlike American Hustle, which was hurt by a weak script imo.

Yeah it wasn't the strongest script. I don't think it was BAD but it was definitely a movie where it was carried by the performances and if they failed then the movie had nothing to fall back on.
agreed. It will not hold up in 10 years imo.
