As a listener....no.

But if I were to contribute, or support monetarily I would like to know. Outside of 7am I'm not sure what else he talks about.

Main reason I ask is because the guy in the video that @Scientific Playa posted talks about how it became hard to support someone that you've never seen.

I really don't understand what's hard about supporting it. No one says shyt like this abiut white men, c00ning is not cool, breh. The movie is out. His message is righteous. Seems like people are making excuses to take away from the fact that we NEED to practice group economics. And we NEED to pursue ownership of resources. I see more talk on intangible things than tangible ones. It's unsettling. No one is perfect we need to stop nit picking and receive the message if it is right and ignore it if it's wrong. This is about black empowerment and a exercise in group economics. Take note breh. Getting all those like minded people in one room to network is a nice feat and a good start.

Hard to support Jason black but go to see CAC movies with no problem and they are usually anti black. c00n ass nikkas man. No shame just ugh.

:what: c00ning? Because I asked if he's addressed why he's never shown himself, or because I said I can understand why dude was saying its hard to support someone who is faceless.

I've NEVER downed group econ. In fact in the first thread about this movie I posted how I was excited to see it, and how I hoped it was released near me.

Are you JB, or close to him breh?:skip: If so I didn't intend to offend you, just asked a simple question.

I still intend to buy the movie when I get a chance, and in fact I've been spreading the trailer amongst friends......

I'm gonna assume that you're talking generally and not responding to me directly :pachaha:

Can you answer the question? Has he ever addressed the reason that he conceals his identity?

If it makes it any better...I can also understand why he might hide..

It's in general breh, don't flatter yourself. Too many times I read, hear, and see folks complain about small insignificant things. People have never seen the faces of countless movie studio owners but will see a movie they made no problems. No nit picking what so ever. But when it comes to black folks it's a convo. Why the convo? I wanna know why it's a huge deal. I really wanna know why it was even brought up. It's never brought up on filthy foul movies. But a documentary on black empowerment and that's the discussion on this and other threads. I don't understand the point. Some people not discussing the positives just pointing out the negative. Sorry if I seemed like I was coming at you. I just get upset at shyt like that cause I see the double standard. It also derails the convo of the thread.

Some people believe the black empowerment movement should be self sufficient. JB could be a white dude....could be the front man for a white dude, and some people wouldn't be down with that. So people want to know.

He also could be a black man in a position to lose a lot if his identity were to be revealed...so I understand that too.

I just wonder what HE has to say about it.

We on the same team though breh. :salute: You're right though wrong thread to bring it up.

Jason Black is not a white guy. I know you probably don't know this but in the beginning of 2014 the people who donated the most to the film got to meet him and a few other people behind the film.

He doesn't show his face because of the same reason many others don't. He operates a business in Louisiana and is not trying to mess up his money flow. You don't see the faces of these white supremacist who donate millions to help there causes so why do you want our people to expose themselves to potential financial harm?

The Black Community
I think the moral of this movement is blacks should help support black businesses, one step at a time yall
Going in circles...we already tried that and it failed miserably...

Capitalism is capitalism regardless of skin color; no one wins but a very small percentage of the race; the rest of us will continue to be exploited and oppressed; motherfukkas are really husting backwards talking that black capitalism bullshyt; all it does is feed the pockets of white banks and corporations; its a lose/lose situation for the black masses; those that know the history of Black capitalism are shaking their heads at movements like these. At the most, if all blacks supported black businesses (which we did before), the biggest percentage that capitalism would allow to be successful business owners is under percent; When the shyt got too big, the political economy of the 1940s and 1950s shut that shyt down and we were back to square one; Then we tried it again in the 1970s and AGAIN, the shifting political economy and Reaganism shut that shyt down. Like I said, keep dreaming on capitalism and its gonna get shut down AGAIN. We gotta be smarter to fight racial oppression or its gonna be 2025 and mothafukkas gonna be still screaming black capitalism bullshyt and 95 percent of the black population will still be at poverty or below poverty level (especially since security blanket measures are going to be wiped out by then)

Farrakhan did something like this 20 yrs ago and nothing changed

we need actions behind these thoughts/ideas/films/speeches etc

u shouldn't feel proud or be given a cookie because you attended a movie viewing

Right. If it was cacs they would have donated 10% of their annual income into making something happen. They would have skipped their yearly vacation and spent that whole week working for the cause. Look at the showing out they have for people like Darren Wilson and movies like American Sniper.

Alright so what's your solution.
