Glad I was working and couldn't see the game. Losing a series to the angels is as unacceptable as it gets.
They better not be flat against the cards tomorrow. I wouldn't want to go into Denver on a losing streak.

It's gonna be a wild ride until the end. Don't let a couple losses get you down. Whoever wins these wild card spots will have had multiple losing streaks down the stretch.

The next game is very crucial. I need the bats to wake up. Alvarez needs to get going a little bit. And the established stars (Nimmo, Lindor, Alonso) need to be stars.

You wish they would win every game but the Braves are sinking like a rock losing series after series.
The Mets lineup was so hot pre All Star break you couldn't expect them yo sustain it.
They should have won the Angela series but 1 reliever blew a single game.
Gonna be ups and downs the rest of the way, it's not gonna be a comfortable watch.
The Braves are going through their own issues, which the Mets have somewhat taken advantage of in the wild card standings. However, the Padres and Diamondbacks are going on their own runs. The Mets losing a series against the Angels, 1 reliever or not, makes it that much more difficult to get some breathing room in the wild card. Even the Phillies, last night notwithstanding, are struggling but they are 21 games over .500 they can afford to struggle, the Mets cannot if their goal is to make the postseason.
The Mets lineup carried for a while there, Lindor Nimmo and JD are struggling right now... never mind Alonso and never adjusting to sliders low and away.
Hopefully the offense picks it up asap

They're an avg team that got hot. They took a bad L to the Angels, but shyt happens.
They can make it up by taking care of the Rockies and Mariners this week.

The Padres and Dbacks will lose them fair share of games as well eventually .You want to peak next month not this month. And we got series against them. We want to make the playoffs but it's no guarantee so just enjoy the competition.
