Jeez, that is nothing...Maybe a prove it deal for something bigger next year when they have more cap space...Or maybe he just wanted out...
the report was the Ravens offered him a 3 year 18 mill extension but his agent was looking for 10 mill per :mjlol:

they gave Patrick Mekari a 3 year 15 mill extension right after Bozeman supposedly declined the Ravens offered

if all that is true then his agent fumbled the bag

After Von Miller, Chandler Jones deals became public, Za'Darius Smith backed out of Ravens return - ProFootballTalk

Linebacker Za'Darius Smith had a four-year, $35 million deal with the Ravens, until he didn’t.

Many are still confused as to what happened between Smith and the Ravens. So we tried to figure out what transpired.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Smith and the Ravens had agreed on a contract per the basic terms (four years, $35 million), with incentives that would have pushed the total value to $50 million. Then, the player decided to back out.

This happened, coincidentally (or not), after Chandler Jones agreed to terms with the Raiders, and after Von Miller agreed to terms with the Bills.

Smith and his agent then proposed a different deal to the Ravens. The Ravens accepted the revised terms. They were then told that Smith would make a decision the next day.

The next day, Smith and his agent proposed a dramatically different deal. The Ravens passed, and that was that.

Many have assumed that Smith had something else in hand. He didn’t. He remains a free agent, with no obvious or apparent deals. And the money in free agency already is drying up.

It’ll be interesting to see whether Smith goes back to the Ravens at some point, seeking the deals away from which he walked. It also will be interesting to see whether the Ravens would put those deals back on the table.

That's a shame for Z. I thought he'd get more interest. The players have a very small window to make their money so they can take care of themselves and their family.

Hope he can get a deal from someone. I think the Ravens already allocated some of that money to Pierce, so Z's deal will not be the same at all smh.

This is why Lamar is looking like a genius by representing himself some of these agents don’t have the best interest of their clients

they still have the money to sign him but alot of these teams let ego get in the way of doing business

im sure they're salty Z backed out and wont offer him the same deal just to be petty even though we need him

If it was me I'd offer the same deal again and see if he takes it

this team still doesn’t get it :snoop:

you let your starting center walk for pennies but you paid the fukking FB :snoop:

WHHYYY!!?? Pat is replaceable, this could have been Ben Mason in the coming years for cheap. Unless, they plan on letting him be a TE3 option like he claims

They could've had Bozeman or Averett for this price. I like Pat but FB should be really low on our list of priorities....
exactly

im never giving any FB a 2nd contract

all these holes we have on the team and they waste money signing a fb

im about to done with Decosta and his shytty decision making
