Ppl overvalue the FRp’s. They still have their other picks and they’ll get compensation back for mayfield. It was worth it if Watson still as good as he was before the incident. Every FRP don’t turn out solid.

Honestly though, Watson doesn't have an MVP on his resume, so Lamar wouldn't be wrong to ask for more.

Prices always go up in football.

Pay him what he wanted before pay him more later.

Or trade him and someone else will pay the price

The picks don't mean they'll turn into elite players and I bet there's been more 1st round busts!

However, first round picks have a great deal more potential and most have more talent/tools to work with.

All of them won't be elite players, but if the coaching staff can develop them into effective starters and instill a pros work ethic in them, that's usually half the battle.
