I like it a lot. Now the owner and top execs are Mets fans from childhood. And added bonus Steve is the richest owner in sports. Best odds as Mets fans we have ever had.
I know some thought we had a chance at the Wild card this season but I think the Mets see relying on old guys is fool's gold. They can add on but your nucleus needs to be young or in their prime. Getting up from under those gigantic contracts was necessary even if it was painful to end the season so early.
