If they keep dropping series against the Nationals and Tigers of the league, the 2nd half of the season won't matter.

It's a long season, I'm not about to be stressed for 6 months lol. Funks happen, hopefully they're getting theirs out the way now instead of later.
You're right that it's a long season... but with the way they flamed out last September by getting destroyed by some awful teams, this is just a continuation of that.
The starting pitching is not pulling their weight at all this season, the bullpen is here and there, and the offense hasn't been awful. They should be better than 1 game over .500.

First inning had me spooked but Verlander looks good.
What a disgusting series. We need sweeps after getting swept like that to rectify this.

this lineup went in a slump last Sept. and has yet to come out of it.
any type of set back, a couple runs in the first or second inning, and its game.

Things really fell apart for this team going into those last two games in SF.
sitting on 14-7, could have done some real damage against SF, WSH, and Detroit.
instead 16-16
funny thing is they can quickly turn it around: 3 x COL, 4 x WSH, 3 x CIN, but they love playing down to the competition

Marte, Lindor and Pete gotta pick it up. I'll give more of a pass to Pete though. Marte has basically only given us stolen bases. He gotta do more. Lindor has been very inconsistent.
Even though you gotta use Escobar sometimes, at this point, you can't afford not having Baty in the lineup. Maybe that's gas but he's shown enough for me to trust him like that.
