10 games, bruh?
I feel like this is the first sign of the Mets imagining Mauricio playing for the major league team.
There are gonna be people telling them to trade for Ohtani but I don't think that would be wise. What the Angels are gonna demand and what other teams could/will offer would make me hesitant to make that move. Too many holes to be filled and they are going to want pitching as well. I don't know what will even be available but I'd imagine we'd trade for a reliever. I honestly feel like at this point, Mauricio has more value on the Mets than as a trade piece.Yeah, I like it.
Now what do you think the Mets should do at the deadline? Is anyone untouchable or are they all untouchable out of the almost ready prospects of Alvarez, Baty, Vientos and Mauricio?
Mets fans ain't gonna be satisfied with a call up as trade deadline reinforcements. It's going to be interesting. There are gonna be people telling them to trade for Ohtani but I don't think that would be wise. I'm not saying they should do that but I just feel like pitching (bullpen maybe a starter too) will be the priority and should be. I don't know what bats will even be available at the deadline right now to speak on it. I just don't think trading for Ohtani is the move when he'll be a free agent and he could easily go somewhere else. I dont think itll be the type of hit the team can absorb for 2 months. I just feel like other teams can probably beat what the Mets would be willing to offer. Also who knows? The Angels could be silly enough to not move him.Mets fans ain't gonna be satisfied with a call up as trade deadline reinforcements. It's going to be interesting.
Two more games left on a 10 game west coast trip, and only one loss.
