That's bs. They needed to come out and win to show the committee that they got it wrong. It took them til the fourth quarter to actually want to play and that's on Kirby for not having them prepared.

A lot of players on Georgia were mentally checked out until the 4th.
A lot of top prospects from teams will start being healthy scratches if their teams don’t make the playoff.
They don’t want to risk an injury for a non-playoff game, especially if they are already a lock for 1st round of draft.

Eh yes and no ... the committee had already made its choice . The win would be more for public perception , which means NOTHING practically .
The pups have another stellar class coming in and will likely win the SEC east again and will be one SEC Champ game win away from getting in the playoffs next year.
Game meant waaaaay more for Texas.

Structurally, the non-playoff bowl games don’t matter for the “HAVES” ... and Ga. is still a part of the haves and not the “have nots.”
Ga. will likely have a top ten ranking (or just outside of the top 10... 11 or 12). And as long as they beat who’s in front front of them NEXT season, Ga. is fine. GA will always control its own destiny for the foreseeable future .

Nah you either get a 1st or 2nd round grade or told to stay in school. They don't give 3rd round grades. So he probably got told he should stay another year.

Lol not at all. Obviously the committee wasn't going to reverse it's decision if UGA won. The game literally meant nothing for UGA, win or lose. The only thing that matters to UGA is beating Bama next year.
