Sanchez non tendered, I like it if we resign him for less Thant heb$5.6 we would’ve been required to pay him.
I like the Biagini signing for basically the vet minimum, the staff obviously sees something they can bring out of him.

The GM that gives Zach Wheeler $100 million deserves to be fired. He's not worth anywhere near that amount of money.

Zach Wheeler at 100M is fine, provided its spread out over 4 or 5 years.

He's not elite but I would say a tick above average.

He could be a good team's #3, or a wild card team's #2.

His metrics suggest he was somewhat unlucky last season, but he gets decent strikeouts, walks relatively few and avoids barrels.

I think with the right team he could be a 15 game winner.

So a tick above average is worth $20 million a year? He also has an injury history and he's never pitched 200 innings. Came close this year. That's not worth $100 million. Most GMs are morons.

fukk that shyt.

this is overpay for a pitcher season and Wheeler knows he can ride the wave since Cole and Strasburg are both getting bags. Cashman better not be a dummy and give him shyt without locking down Cole first and thinking his work is done for the winter.

The landscape of the game has changed. 20m per year is not outrageous anymore

I'm interested in any pitcher with a K/BB rate approaching 4, and a K/9 of 9.

100M at Wheeler's age is pushing it, but mainly because of his age.

He shouldn't be the Yankees 1st option this winter. But you definitely kick those tires.

Still doesn't make it a good idea to give Zach Wheeler, who has an injury history and is a mediocre to average pitcher $20 million a year. I looked it up and there are only 13 pitchers making $20 million or more. It's not a good idea and you won't convince me otherwise.

Out of curiosity, what do you think he is worth?

kick the tires, leak stories about the Yankees being interested so you inflate his price and make the Phillies or whoever overpay and watch them win 82 game next year.
