FLOWERY BRANCH – Here are five things to know about the Falcons, who return to practice at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
1. Jones update. On Sunday, Falcons coach Dan Quinn said he expected All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones to fully participate in practice on Tuesday. He had an unspecified injury and referred to some “tightness” in his explosive body. Quinn called the injury a “tweak.”
2. NFL Network in the house. Rhett Lewis and Charley Casserly will be live on-location for coverage of Falcons training camp on NFL Network.
3. Update from Quinn. Falcons coach Dan Quinn will address the media after the practice. Check back later for updates and video.
4. Beasley off to slow start. Linebacker Vic Beasley, who is making the switch to strongside linebacker f
rom defensive end in the base defense, believes he’s off to a slow start.
5. Friday Night Lights set. The Falcons will hold their “Friday Night Lights” practice at Grayson High School in Loganville on Friday. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the team will start practice at 7:30 p.m. The practice will be hosted by Wes Durham and Dave Archer and will feature a performance by the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, interactive games, as well as player autographs. The night will conclude with a fireworks show.
