shanahan is VERY picky about his OL. This is all him. This guy might come in camp and win an OG job.

Any word on if Matt Ryan is going to restructre his contract? If not, might as well get that 2017-2018 offseason thread started.

Remember that Blank's mandate was that you get 3 starters outta this draft. Maybe you have 2 as it stands now (Neal & Jones)

Surprised they didn't address the DL at all in this draft

Too early to give a grade but draft was meh to me. Reached on Neal even tho he should be a Day 1 starter, I liked us trading back to get a pick but I don't think our picks from round 4-7 are gonna give us the impact we need

This draft class is a C to me, Falcons didn't address pass rush their biggest need.

In a way the Falcons do have 3 starters, I see both Jones and Campbell starting on special team (But thats not saying much)
I hate to sound like I'm being hard on the kid but as I said before, Keanu Neal is garbage in my book if he
can't beat out Ishmael or the starting SS position.

There's no chance Keanu doesn't win the starting SS position. No chance (barring injury)

I think Deion will just be solid but he's gonna be a project (he only started one year at LSU). We'll see about Campbell (neither prospect scream special to me)

Rise up!
I see Campbell as a project. He takes bad angles and was soft in Minnesota but he can rush the passer. His size and speed is nice to have. Jones could start but I think he needs to put on more size. Speed is there. Hooper looks like he'll either start right away or ease into the starting role later on in the season. Neal is nice and I expect him to start right away. The guard from SDSU will probably start also.

Very happy with this draft. Could've been better but I'm happy.

We were 7th in hurries last season and we ranked near the bottom in sacks. Now we can limit the, league leading, yards allowed to rbs and tight ends. No more 3rd down dump offs to rbs and tight ends like Ben Watson gashing us in the pass game.

The guard has starter potential. Hooper can eventually start. Interesting that TD mentioned deion jones playing MLB and devondre is going to be a WLB.

Got some interesting udfas as well

They clearly think they have the pass rush option on the team already. And they're probably giving Vic another year to see how he comes along. Ain't no where to go but up really. The D made some big strides last year. Went from dead last year before to middle of the road last year. I'd say things are trending up

Edit- and I like the K. Neal pick. Breh seems like he's a hard worker and smart as fukk. and we all know he's physical. Cats like that can't be easily coached up to make up for their flaws.

Atlanta Falcons: B-[/paste:font]
Top needs: LB, DE, S, TE

Dan Quinn needs more speed at linebacker if he wants to build a defense that can resemble the unit he and Pete Carroll had in Seattle, and he got faster and more versatile there. Keanu Neal is more of a second-round talent on my board, but I know he was coveted by a couple of teams in this range, and Quinn has a Kam Chancellor or Deone Bucannon-type safety who doubles as a linebacker. Deion Jones is undersized but can fly at linebacker and is the kind of player who will help them from getting beat so often by running backs catching passes. The Falcons needed a player like Austin Hooper with the likes of Jacob Tamme and Levine Toilolo the best they have at tight end, and De'Vondre Campbell is yet another athletic linebacker (my No. 11 outside linebacker).

The question mark is on the defensive line, where Atlanta didn't gain anything, but the Falcons could be seeing an extreme makeover at linebacker, and might have done it through a single draft.

Round/Pick Name Pos College

2/52 Deion Jones OLB Louisiana State
3/81 Austin Hooper TE Stanford
4/115 De'Vondre Campbell OLB Minnesota

7/238 Devin Fuller WR UCLA
