Hmm...I thought Lena Headey should've won this year. She put on a powerful performance this season as she had to go through such a broad range of emotions and turmoil for her character.

I'm definitely surprised at how much love Game of Thrones is getting this year considering this isn't one of their stronger seasons. Good to see Peter Dinklage win! He's an phenomenal actor. Should've won last year as well.

I like "Game Of Thrones" as much as the next guy but the directing is very, very basic. Which is fine, it fits the show. But it doesn't deserve awards for directing.

Fred.
There's only a couple shows off top where I feel like the director is pulling the strings on every single aspect of the show.

Breaking Bad with Gilligan
Mad Men with Weiner

The Knick feels like Sodenbergh is crafting every single detail, from the acting to the amount the camera shakes, to the tint used on a scene.

GoT feels like anyone can step in and follow the template.

I'm kinda curious why they didn't submit "Hardhome" for anything. It was easily the best episode of this last season.
