mauer came off that year he hit i think 28 hrs, he's a gg catcher, home town kid, cant blame them for giving him that deal but damn he fell off quick.....still a good hitter but powerless and cant even play catcher anymore really 142.5 million remaining for a singles hitting DH

You can blame him not even approaching 20 hrs cuz the moved from the Metrodome to Target Field just when Mauer just started to learned how to off that short right field. Still that contract is He wont even be catching anymore in 4 years.
