Call me biased, but I don't think there's another player in the League that works the opposite field better than Braun.

Could Clemens land in Houston?
Roger Clemens is scheduled to start Saturday night for the independent Sugar Land Skeeters against Bridgeport, but where the seven-time Cy Young Award winner goes from there is anyone's guess.

"I'm 50 years old. We're just going to go out and have fun with this and make it fun for the fans," said Clemens.

We've heard all the talk about Clemens trying to appear in a major league game in order to reset the clock on his Hall of Fame eligibility. Houston general manager Jeff Luhnow said Tuesday the club sent a scout to look at Clemens and left-hander Scott Kazmir, which has done little to end the speculation that Clemens could make a September cameo for the Astros.

The Astros, after all, are on pace to lose well over 100 games, and an appearance by Clemens could be a justifiable diversion as the club rebuilds under Luhnow. The Astros are dead last in the National League in attendance, so a late-season boost can't hurt.

ESPN.com's Jim Bowden thinks a return by the Clemens to Houston, where he pitched for three seasons, is a real possibility. "When you grade his competitive nature, he gets an 80 out of 80," Bowden tells Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio. "Yes, I definitely think the Astros will give him that opportunity."
