We still need another bat, McCutchen has no protection in this lineup
but who do we trade away for that other bat?... to many times i have seen the pirates trade for a position they need but we end up having another whole or missing link because of said trade.
but i agree we need another bat. not only does it protect McCutchen but i feel it will help Pedro out as well
Jim Tracy exhibited his managerial brilliance tonight.
In a 2-1 game (Nats leading), he let Jeff Francis hit in the bottom of the 5th.
Tracy brought in a reliever to start the 6th.
Francis had only thrown 66 pitches in the game.
I've never seen anything like that before.
