that makes no sense. we have ALWAYS had teams with better records being disadvantaged at times in baseball cause of the division system. the Angels this year were better than the Tigers but they are sitting home.

there are two choices, either do away with divisions and top 4 make it, or if you have divisions, and have us playing vs divsion opponents 18 times, then you have to make winning them mean smthg which is what this one game play in does.

It's not a disadvantage. You'll complain about anything. Then it'll be "but the Rays were better than the Cardinals but they're in the playoffs". It'll never end.

It was an awful call. They'll lose the protest. Could it have led to something more? Maybe, but we'll never know. Game over. Cards play the Nats.

Saunders did a number on us too. The O's got a lot of pitchers with really good off-speed stuff and then they flip it with their pen who throw heat. By the time you figure it out the game is over.

Yeah that's the problem with this. We're going to hear the inevitable complaints about more video replay, etc, but according to the way the rule is written, the call isn't wrong. It is COMPLETELY against the spirit of a rule that was designed to prevent teams from turning double plays on routine fly balls but no review or protest can overturn an umpire's stupidity.

and let's not forget about the Cardinals get screwed earlier when the umpire called for time late, after Lohse got the strikeout, then Ross got a homerun

nah I was talking about the idea of one game playoffs, I dont mind it because we have a division system so there should be an advantage of winning the division. I just notice a lot of complaining of it not being fair to the wc with the better record and was saying weve seen it before where a team with a better record has been disadvantaged so why complain now?

You're an idiot. Once the bases are loaded, the whole inning changes. You can't say "If the bases were loaded, the following sequence of plays would've happened the same way the did with the two outs" You fukking moron. The next guy could've grounded into a double play. He could've struck out. Flied out. Anything. Just assuming the inning would've continued on the same path it did once the bases were loaded shows you have NO clue about baseball or how anything works
