I got nothing to say. It's a nine inning game. Braves had plenty of chances. Didn't capitalize. Congrats to the Cardinals.

Yeah, they raped themselves.

-replay of Chipper throwing over second
-replay of Simmons error throw to home
-replay of Kozma scoring from second on an infield hit
-replay of Dan Uggla's error to first

bases loaded 1 out would have changed the whole game,

this game deserves a asterik

i HATE this excuse when a team gets a bad call. its used all the time too, them making errors has ZERO to do with the call. The Braves or any team should have to play a perfect game or be subjected to bad calls?

Nobody mad at the Cards, it couldve been any team getting a bad call go there way but the umps have to go.

and dont underscore how bad a call they made on chipper in the 9th, if the last batter got a single and now its a one run game with a man on first that call ends up being huge. So two major screwups in the first game of the offs

Yeah because bases loaded with 1 out automatically means the Braves were gonna have a big inning

Cardinals won by 3 RUNS.

Bad call? Yes. But stop acting like the Braves would've automatically scored runs.

and let's not forget about the Cardinals get screwed earlier when the umpire called for time late, after Lohse got the strikeout, then Ross got a homerun

Hilarious shyt. The wild card game caused enough controversy, and now this shyt in the first game.

Probably wouldn't have mattered had it not even for the errors anyway.

Braves didn't put themselves in a good position at all. :ld:

I totally understand what you're saying, but from all of my years playing/watching baseball ... when you fukk up in the field, it comes back to haunt you. It's like watching a basketball team turn the ball over 20 times a game. They might lose on a last second shot, but it's like, "how are you even in it?"

There were more than a few screwups in the game, I think it might have evened out. But my team won, so take EVERYTHING I'm saying right now with a grain of salt.

Only people we got raped by are:

1.The MLB for having such a stupid fukking rule that resulted in us having a one game playoff against a team we finished more than 5 games better than in the regular season.
2. Dan Uggla
that makes no sense. we have ALWAYS had teams with better records being disadvantaged at times in baseball cause of the division system. the Angels this year were better than the Tigers but they are sitting home.

there are two choices, either do away with divisions and top 4 make it, or if you have divisions, and have us playing vs divsion opponents 18 times, then you have to make winning them mean smthg which is what this one game play in does.

Not to this extent though. All this work the braves put in and our fates were decided in one game.....in baseball.

i feel you but the Yanks have had 3 huge calls go there way in the offs in 96,99,and 09 so Ive been in the spot like of course I dont want to discredit the team I root for but like I said its about the umps not who has the bad call go their way
