The Tigers finish 86-76 and win the AL Central by 1 game.
The Angels finish 88-74 and miss the WC by 1 game.

Oh, and as far as Cabrera carrying his team into contention......the Tigers are 10-11 in September. The Angels meanwhile are 14-7.

Cabrera and Prince have done their part, it's them other dudes who can't pick up the slack when the dynamic duel doesn't drive in runs. Their defense coupled with sub par pitching has contributed to their inconsistency all year. The hitters surrounding Trout have been way more consistent.
