Danny Granger out the year, should have traded him @ the deadline.
To who? He was injured
One would think they'll be able to trade him this summer. $14MM off the cap after next season is enticing.Injured players have been traded before, that doesn't matter since teams can waive physicals. Right around the deadline it came out that the Pacers were open to moving him.

Who should they aim to get? I assume they'll want to re-up David West this summer...
Is this ESPN's latest stat? There isn't a player in the league that I am happier for.
I would have moved him for just about anything to be honest, as the homie @Gil Scott-Heroin can attest to I don't really like Granger much :playahata:
My off the wall trade would have been to offer him up to the Jazz for Jefferson, get a younger/better PF in the process. It'd allow you to let West walk this summer, and you'd still be able to possibly sign a decent player in FA.
Were planning on having him back, Walsh said. Were planning for him to come to training camp. Thats why were doing it at this point. Everything were doing is to get him back here by training camp next year.
Its not like we anticipate that hes not going to be able to play. This whole year has been spent trying to make sure hell be able to play, so weve been very cautious in the way weve dealt with it.
"The decision was made after all conservative treatment options could not alleviate the soreness Granger encountered, the statement said. After consultation between Granger, the Pacers medical staff and Dr. James Andrews, surgery became the preferred option.
Basically it came down to Danny telling us he didnt think he was going to be able to play comfortably and without an operation, Walsh said, so thats why were going this direction.
