I had never heard anything about ICarly before but I was glad to see a Nickelodeon show pay homage to The Wire.

I think she's mentioned previously on how she was essentially forced into the breadwinner of the family at an early age with acting.

That would make me has a disdain for it as well.

I had a friend who said that happened to him when he was a kid. It was only for like half a year while his dad was laid off but he forcibly quit acting at 13 because of it. He wasn't anything big, just doing commercials and game shows and shyt, but absolutely hated it especially when it went from a "once in a while" thing to "you need to do this because we need money now".
