Congratulations to the “flop” Oppenheimer on winning the coveted Best Picture Oscar along with six other Academy Awards.

Do better, Nolan and crew.

:troll:

Looks like I need to finally watch Oppenheimer :leon:

It's crazy that receiving a white mans away changes you mindset

Didn’t mind the Oppenheimer sweep but they always OD with it. Downey Jr didn’t need that best supporting actor especially with the competition this year.
facts. best picture, best director, best actor, best supporting actor? it wasnt THAT good :dead:best supporting actor could have gone elsewhere

There were 53 films nominated for an Oscar this year. How many of the 10,000 voting members of the academy saw even half of those films? And lets not even discuss the great performances that didn't get nominated.

This isn't like sports, where they give the vote to people who have a professional responsibility to watch the games and follow the sport. Or who can at least fall back on the box scores and statistics if they didn't watch. If you don't have a professional reason to be out there watching every movie with a careful eye, then what are you actually voting on other than name recognition and hype?
