Tinashe isn't really missing anything necessarily. She is just on a garbage label, RCA is one of the worst labels in the industry. And also as we know you need black women to support you heavily as a black or mixed artist to be successful and Tinashe actually gets a lack of success and is actually criticized by black women. We are in an R and B revival but they ain't really feeling the light skinned sings in r and b unless you are really really good.

Teyana on the other hand gets love from black women. The issue is with Kanye's dumbass and his terrible promotion. He does not market her properly enough. The same way he promoted himself he could have done with her.
Nah, SZA is on RCA, HER, GoldLink, Doja Cat, Miguel and Childish Gambino recently signed among many others.

With that said you can't blame them because they are going hard for RnB right now. The thing is Tinashe as sexy as she is, just makes whack derivative pop music and I don't know if it is the label pushing her in that direction or her own but until we know for sure I can't blame RCA or call them a garbage label because they have tons of great artist and results.

SZA is on RCA but she is also on TDE...a black label that did the bulk of her promotion. Just type in SZA interview and see what comes up. All that promotion...the LA Media machine was all Top Dawg and TDE.

GoldLink, DojaCat, and Childish Gambino are not big artists. You are proving my point.

HER as i said will be bigger next year, She like Chris Brown are on that wack RCA label but their talent is so extreme that in cases like that its too hard to ignore. That is why they are the exception. And even Chris is about to be dropped by RCA.

Gambino is not a big artist? You tripping!

Also SZA would be in a similar situation as Sir without RCA, sure TDE did a lot of work but RCA helped get her to that next level if you look at her before RCA and then after.

At the end of the day RnB is not as big as it used to be period but RCA is one of the labels trying to keep it alive is my point so to say so and so is not a big artist is non-sense when the whole genre is struggling and you can't blame RCA for that as that is the trend. RCA is going hard for RnB but business is about supply and demand and RnB is not in as much right now. There are only like two big named Rnb artist, maybe three if you don't consider one a pop star. That's Rihanna, Chris Brown and Beyonce and all the others are only big amongst the RnB niche but not on that same level.

With that said, let's get back on topic here. Tinashe is not successful because the music itself is not up to par.

Album is dope. I was surprised this isn’t getting more hype.

My girl was listening to this when she was showering and I’m thinking to myself “this sounds good af” didnt even realize it was TT.

Of the 5 projects G.O.O.D dropped, this is one of the better ones.

Album is great, but I think a lot of that has to do with Kanye being behind the production. I listen to a lot of R&B, and her voice is pretty average, but she got great production. For instance, Jorja got a better voice than Teyana Taylor, but Jorja's production and direction was awful on her debut album, therefore this album > than Jorja's.

There are just times where her singing is subpar, you can hear it on Never Would Have Made It. She isn't crazy talented, but with great production she can make a great album, which she just did.

Album is one of the better R&B albums to come out this year. Props to Kanye, he still got it when it comes to production.

The p*ssy song is horrible, I get what they going for with this being gay people month and shyt so she trying to win them over but nah dawg. Gonna have to remove that!

I also feel the Rose From Harlem song could have been a better song given that beat but it's cool for what it is. A rapper should jump on that beat and body it, in fact I could imagine prime Cam on it or something.

On another note where is the Lauryn Hill interlude she spoke of? I don't hear it on my copy of the album.

Sadly, I don’t think people would be checking for Teyana like that if this album wasn’t backed by Kanye. VII (her debut) is a lot better than KTSE. I mean this album isn’t bad at all, but it’s no where near as focused and thought out as her previous album. I think the execution of this album could’ve been better with more time. The music sounds “rushed” imo.

In terms of the GOOD music projects.. my ranking would be...

DAYTONA > Nasir > Kids See Ghosts > KTSE >>>>>>>>> Ye

I didnt forget I owe you some rep, they wont let me do it :damn:
