We are witnessing them erasing history.

Makes you wonder how much history that is taught is complete BS.

:ohhh:
Most of it is bullshyt breh. Always look at shyt with a skeptical eye. You just can't trust the shyt that's taught in school if it isn't math and science.

:russ: are you fukking serious? Colleges don't lie about history :dwillhuh:???
I think he was implying college students have the tools to question things they're taught, if not encouraged to do so. That's what I took from it anyway :yeshrug:

Not to the severity of calling African Slaves, "workers" or "immigrants"

Breh, are you serious? They do something a million times worse and completely ignore any African contribution period. I took world history in college and they literally never mentioned Africa once. It was like the entire continent never even existed.

This is why black people have an issue learning about slavery, because for many of us we think that is our only history. Even people on this site have made the comment that our history began with slavery.

Black people don't control their image nor their narrative. And know matter how many billionaires our group acquires it won't fix shyt unless the system it self is eradicated or we move somewhere else and build. This whole ism is full off trapdoors, it's heavily surveiled and we have traitors who are compensated and paraded. If you're still trying to sit at the table with this devil I don't know what to tell you. I don't give a fukk what anybody says cacs have a personal beef with us.

In 1829, slavery was officially outlawed in Mexico. Austin feared that the edict would cause widespread discontent and tried to suppress publication of it. Rumors of the new law quickly spread throughout the area and the colonists seemed on the brink of revolt. The governor of Coahuila y Tejas, Jose Maria Viesca, wrote to the president to explain the importance of slavery to the Texas economy, and the importance of the Texas economy to the development of the state. Texas was temporarily exempted from the rule. On April 6, 1830, Mexican president Anastasio Bustamante ordered Texas to comply with the emancipation proclamation or face military intervention. To circumvent the law, many Anglo colonists converted their slaves into indentured servants for life. Others simply called their slaves indentured servants without legally changing their status. Slaveholders wishing to enter Mexico would force their slaves to sign contracts claiming that the slaves owed money and would work to pay the debt. The low wages the slave would receive made repayment impossible, and the debt would be inherited, even though no slave would receive wages until age eighteen. This tactic was outlawed by an 1832 state law which prohibited worker contracts from lasting more than ten years. A small number of slaves were imported illegally from the West Indies or Africa. The British consul estimated that in the 1830s approximately 500 slaves had been illegally imported into Texas. By 1836, there were approximately 5,000 slaves in Texas.

I don't know about you but I went to a PWI in the north and there was extensive coverage of the Civil rights era, Jim Crow and the economic and social ramifications of slavery.

It was 20th century history class, I am a stem degree so I didn't dabble too much. Point is, a remotely reputable institution will cover and not bullshyt
